I use full grain leather because:
- top surface of leather
- very durable
- natural leather
- highest quality of leather
- categorised as high-end of all leathers
- grains are not corrected
- breathable
- develops natural patina that protects the leather goods
- exclusivity
It is the most expensive leather you can find, though I think the price is justifiable for reasons above. LIN8 leather goods
